Owner and operator of PhysioWorks, Jo-Ann is super excited to bring a level of excellence in Physiotherapy care to Airdrie.

Jo-Ann graduated from Dalhousie University in 1994 with a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy after completing her B.Sc in Psychology in 1990.  After working in Canada for 5 years, Jo-Ann accepted a 7 month contract in Kuwait; 9 years later she returned to Canada and made Calgary her home. While overseas, she commenced her M.Sc. in Rehabilitation sciences from McMaster University; completing it in 2012.

In addition to her varied clinical experiences over the years, Jo-Ann has completed extensive training in manual therapy, muscle movement imbalances, mobilization of the nervous system, treatment of chronic pain and the assessment and treatment of occupational injuries. She is certified in Graston techniques as well as certified in Acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. As a caring and devoted professional, Jo-Ann provides you with an individualized treatment program aimed at addressing your specific needs.

Jo-Ann has also completed training in Canine Physio. She previously worked at the Canine Fitness Centre in Calgary. While she has taken a leave from this position in order to focus on PhysioWorks, she holds the centre, the people and all the pups near and dear to her heart.

In her spare time Jo-Ann and her husband enjoy spending time in the mountains camping, travelling and  heading to the beach in PEI in the summer. Jo-Ann is also actively involved with the ALS Society of Alberta, being a committee member for the Betty’s Run for ALS. She also enjoys running, working out, yoga and working in her yard/garden. She is working on training her new pup Ca$h.
